I don't recall seeing an O/U of 72 1/2 before. Neither of these teams has seen one that high this season either, though Nevada and Idaho combined for 115 points in their matchup in October. SMU's coach is June Jones, who came to Dallas a couple years ago from Hawaii, where he was very successful. He's moved SMU upmarket quickly. The line has been volatile on this game, indicating a lot of conflicting thoughts. My wishy-washy conclusion is that the line is right: this game can go either way.

I can't get any good vibes on this game, so I'm pulling back and making my bet on June Jones. These two teams have every distraction out there in Hawaii, and there's no huge accolade heading for the winner. So who has more motivation? June Jones, taking the program he's been hired to resurrect, back to his old stomping grounds. We've paid the vig and switched this play to SMU +12 1/2 --- PFOS (posted 1:47 pm)
